Office Administrator

Position: Office Administrator
Church: Good Shepherd (Long Beach, MS)
Office Hours: Part Time: (+/-16 hours, Weekly)

PRINCIPLE FUNCTION: Organize, plan, and maintain function of church office by providing administrative assistance to the pastors, staff, and leaders.

SUPERVISED BY:  Lead Pastor

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Communicate needs of the church family to pastors, staff, and leaders
  • Communicate with the church family regarding services, ministries, and special events
  • Manage database in Planning Center Online (members, visitors, baptism, Intro, etc)
  • Execute clerical tasks (phones, copying, filing, printing, etc)
  • Manage inventory of office and church supplies (communion, check in/out, keys, etc)
  • Provide administrative help for all ministries (order materials/resources, etc)
  • Prepare for services and special events (kids coloring packets, table setup, etc)
  • Mail monthly missionary support checks
  • Submit background checks and maintain current records
 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Degree
  • Possess communication skills for in-person and phone interaction
  • Knowledge of computer programs, such as Word and Excel
  • Knowledge of office equipment (computer, copier, fax machine, laminator, etc)
  • Takes initiative and exhibits a “team” mentality
